Hikmet Anıl Öztekin
This is the English version of the article Hangi müzikalin kokusu.
Even the fact that we are unable to remain motionless while we sleep makes it abundantly clear that we were made to move. As Sinan Canan states, our brains rot when we remain motionless. However, given the conditions in our world, feeling energized all the time is not quite easy.
The person from whom I quoted the first sentence makes the same point as I do. Discipline discipline discipline. We should begin without waiting for inspiration. I’ve heard of something like the “5 minutes rule,” and based on my own experiences, I can say that it’s quite helpful for some things. I may have mentioned it before.
Is there a major task on your list of things to do? A lengthy essay to complete? A room decluttering session? Setting up some things?
You don’t feel like doing it at all and it’s not the first time you’ve felt that way. You feel uneasy on the inside as well. Because you want it done as well. It’s time to move unless fairies will arrive and finish it. Only five minutes, though.
You can begin by five minutes, and after that, you can return to your bed or couch if you still don’t want to. I occasionally carried on after starting it for five, but there were also instances when I truly stopped when the timer went off. After working with this method for two days, I finally found the courage to finish everything for my task today. I’m not sure if I would feel the same way if I hadn’t spent the last two days finishing little parts of it.
I believe that saying “five” at the start and finishing this five is the reason I don’t feel terrible after leaving it still undone. Perhaps I’m saying to myself, “All right, so maybe it’s not finished, but I promised to do it for five minutes, and I did what I said.”
Maybe. (;
I want to add something to this that I believe is really important: we must remember to feel affection for ourselves. Even closest ones of you may use direct phrases like “Couldn’t you even finish this yet?” or worse, you may be more brutal to yourself than this. Whatever happens, you are the one who knows about your chest, your feelings, your internal and external agony, and your wounds. By the way, they don’t have to know. If there is such a background, don’t try to prove your grief. Simply make an effort to protect yourself from a distance. That’s quite valuable.
As long as we don’t allow it to make us lazy, it can be necessary to consider some profound reasons. Does that make me feel ill and prevent me from moving? I might be able to prepare myself a cup of linden tea. Due of boredom? Some pieces from your favourite playlist? Or just smelling delicious food? We can think about it first, then get back to work.
Source is always worth more than the product.
Sometimes even tiny things can make more sense than we expect.
Just like a cold face wash
A cool breeze from balcony or window
Al ittle walk
One minute plank
A few cookies
Like a big hug?
If we wait for someone to come and save us, we shall be waiting forever. No one will come to our salvation since we don’t live in tales. We do not exist in a showing off land, everything real is rough. Waterproof mascaras are created to allow those glossy lives cry with makeup on. Since we are not included, we are unable to smell the musical that we have just heard about.
Everyone has a different scent, everybody is unique with no makeup.
Which musical would have same smell though?
All you have to do is choose where to begin or where to continue from.
Designing first step means also taking a step. :)
I give the appropriate prescription about the “right time”.
